Young Black & Deadly 2018 Applications NOW OPEN

Young Black & Deadly (YBD) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander fast track youth music program run by Gadigal Information Service (Koori Radio) and located in Redfern, Sydney.

Young Indigenous musicians between the ages of 12 and 18 looking to gain quality music industry experience are encouraged to apply.

The program is free and features a series of music and songwriting development workshops run by experienced Indigenous musicians and performers. There are also opportunities for budding young artists to collaborate with other young Indigenous musicians, free time recording in a fully equipped professional studio as well as opportunities to perform on the YBD stage at Yabun 2019 and some future Klub Koori events.

Click here to fill out our online application form. Participants will need permission from a parent or guardian and are required to upload a short sample of their music with their application. We’ll accept anything, a video or voice recording off a phone, a link to soundcloud, youtube, whatever!
